The zoo in Debrecen is preparing for a teddy bear festival
Debrecen – In the four-day program about bears, we can also find out how long we have to wait for spring.
Expanding its long-standing tradition, the zoo in Debrecen now welcomes the general public with teddy bear programs for the first time for four days, between February 2 and 5, as part of the Bear Festival.
On the opening day, you can immediately find out whether the end of winter is still far away, because according to the tradition associated with the Candlemas Day, Dönci, the golden bear, predicts how long we have to wait for spring.
Visitors will not only be able to get to know the members of the bear family, but also their namesakes who live in the institution, as part of an interactive guided tour. A bear dance, a puppet show and a fairy-tale band concert provide entertainment for both young and old, followed by skill games, a family photo opportunity, shopping for teddy bears and a map search game to make the whole day’s experience even more unforgettable.
If you want to exercise your creativity in addition to relaxation, you can make your own teddy bear souvenir in the craft cave or the teddy bear sewing workshop.
All program elements are free of charge with a zoo ticket. It’s details zoo website.
