Kobe Bryant’s number 24 jersey up for auction
In an auction in New York there will be the number twenty-four tank top worn by Kobe Bryant in season 2007-2008. The auction will last from February 2nd to 9th and there are already those who think that the maximum limit of the offer will surpass that of Michael Jordan’s tank top game one of the 1998 NBA Finals.
The cost of Kobe’s tank top is temporarily fixed at 7 million dollarswhile that of Michael “Air” Jordan came in at 10.1. It should be noted that Bryant in the 2007-08 season he had won three NBA titles as second to Shaquille O’neal in the Lakers, who had won the symbolic Finals player award on those three occasions. Then in 2008-09 and 2009-10 our beloved Kobe won two NBA titles as first offensive option and team leader and that catapulted him in the Olympus of the chosen few of basketball.
Perhaps if his tank top for sale had been that of the two seasons following this one, the price might have been higher. Kobe’s challenge to Michael to reach it before it only concerned the titles and now from the sky it seems that it also concerns the record of the cost of one’s shirt. The twenty-four is one of two numbers worn by the Black Mamba in her career, the other is number 8.
