A full Stade Toulousain: which team against Sale?
To face the English club Sale in the Champions Cup, Stade Toulousain will be spoiled for choice for the former son of the team.
Rotation time is over for at least two weeks. Two Champions Cup matches at Sale and against Munster at Ernest-Wallon which will decide the future of the club in this edition.
Consequently, it is the general mobilization and it goes without saying that Saturday in Sale, the Stadium will align its most competitive match sheet knowing that only two players should miss. Namely Lucas Tauzin injured against La Rochelle and Thibaud Flament who has not yet resumed collective training. Ange Capuozzo and Jack Willis resumed this week as Santiago Chocobares and François Cros apply for a return to competition.
Staff will therefore have to make choices in certain positions. On the front line, we are moving towards a first line Cyril Baille – Julien Marchand – Dorian Aldegheri knowing that the latter is currently number 1 in the position and that he has developed two weeks without a match to recharge his batteries.
In the second line, it is the Richie Arnold – Emmanuel Meafou team which holds the rope. In the third row, Alexandre Roumat and Anthony Jelonch were to be starters. There is still a place for the Englishman Jack Willis or for the French international François Cros. The two players could also share playing time in England. Alban Placines, Rynhardt Elstadt, Selevasio Tolofua (however uncertain) will compete for a place on the bench.
Traffic jam in the center and on the wings
No surprise at the hinge with Antoine Dupont – Romain Ntamack and at the back with Melvyn Jaminet (Thomas Ramos is still suspended for two games).
In the center, on the other hand, several associations are possible insofar as Pita Ahki and Santiago Chocobares are back to compete with Dimitri Delibes, Sofiane Guitoune and Pierre-Louis Barassi. Finally, on the wings, there are four for two places: Matthis Lebel, Juan-Cruz Mallia, Ange Capuozzo and Arthur Retière.
The Stadium is certainly armed for the two European deadlines…
