White Christmas in Prague: Will the people of Prague see it this year?
The following week we are expecting freezing days, temperatures will remain below zero until Sunday. The snow that covered Prague from Sunday to Monday may look like the first swallow. However, the opposite is true. This week is though the coldest of all of December, but next week we can expect temperatures rather above zero. Meteorologist Honsová described what a snowy Christmas is like.

For Adam and Eve, expect to be surprised, this superstition has been haunting us since the 17th century. White Christmas in Prague is also a rarity according to statistics. “The probability of a white Christmas at the Praha-Ruzyně station from the statistics of the last 60 years is 28 percent, from the point of view of the last 20 years it is 30 percent,” said Honsová.
The last time we could experience snowy Christmas holidays was in 2001 and 2010. Christmas in the mud is due to the so-called pre-Christmas frost, because in the period from December 23 to January 1, a warm southwesterly or westerly ocean current reaches the whole of Central Europe. It is the case that even this year the people of Prague will not get the longed-for white Christmas.
We could experience them a month later, when there is the most snow. According to Honsová, the probability of a white Christmas on January 24 would be adjusted up to 80 percent.
