The government also meets on weekends
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called a cabinet meeting for Saturday, Bertalan Havasi, head of the Prime Minister’s Press Office, informed MTI.
The ministers discuss economic and energy security matters. A few days ago, the Brussels oil sanctions came into effect, which are felt throughout Europe, including Hungary, and there are sanctioned energy and gasoline prices throughout Europe.

The decision-makers in Brussels, instead of changing their policy that caused serious damage, want to introduce new sanctions, further increasing the burden on the European economy, the press chief said in the statement.
He added: the government meeting will also deal with the issue of EU funds belonging to Hungary.
The Hungarian government and the parliament fulfilled all the obligations agreed with the European Commission. The bureaucrats in Brussels are imposing new conditions because they want to impose their will on Hungary in matters of immigration, sanctions and gender. Hungary fulfills its commitments, but in these matters the government represents the interests of the Hungarian people, not Brussels, said Bertalan Havasi.
