North of Toulouse: while stripping a car, the thief forgets his mobile phone
A forty-year-old, author of car thefts in the town of Granada was caught up in a major oversight. He accidentally left his mobile phone in one of the vehicles visited. The gendarmes quickly identified him.
He left behind his cell phone. A 49-year-old man who specialized in trailer thefts was quickly found by the gendarmes of the community of Granada brigades north of Toulouse. This week, on several occasions, this individual has targeted vehicles in this town. Each time, he steals everything that is in the cabin, including a fishing rod, car papers or even remote controls to open the garages of buildings.
But during his various searches, the thief forgets an essential element. He does not leave his DNA behind him but his mobile phone. The gendarmes will therefore quickly track him down thanks to this device. The forties described as known to justice was arrested in the process. The soldiers also discover that this individual has already been credited with a theft dating back several months. On that date, he had stolen a bank card which he had used in a tobacco shop.
After his hearing, he was filed in court. Judged this Friday under the immediate comparison regime, he was sentenced to four months in prison.
