Moldova received the notification of the Japanese authorities regarding the financial assistance of 27 million dollars
The Republic of Moldova will receive financial assistance of approximately 27 million dollars from Japan. About this he announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, following a farewell meeting with Ambassador Yoshihiro Katayama, who has completed his mandate in the Republic of Moldova, reports IPN.
“During the meeting, I was happy to receive the official notification from the Tokyo authorities regarding the approval to the National Diet of Japan of financial assistance of approximately 27 million dollars, announced during the visit of the head of state to Japan, an amount to be provided our countries through international organizations for concrete projects in the field of health, energy, food industry and which aim to reduce the impact on our countries of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine”, said the minister.
Nicu Popescu mentioned the contribution of Ambassador Yoshihiro Katayama to the strengthening of Moldovan-Japanese relations of friendship and collaboration. The Moldovan official thanked the ambassador for the support offered to the modernization of the Republic of Moldova, for which President Maia Sandu, at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, awarded him the “Order of Honor”.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and Japan were stable on March 16, 1992, when Japan recognized the independence of the Republic of Moldova.
