Tesla sold more electrics in Portugal than BMW and Mercedes combined
ONE Tesla is increasingly cemented in Portugal and this can be seen in the numbers. Last November, the North American manufacturer of electric cars sold a total of 541 cars, which is an increase of 63% compared to the same month of 2021.
This number allows Tesla to be at the top of the list of brands that registered the most registrations in November in Portugal. Behind Elon Musk’s company are BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The Bavarian brand sold 216 electric cars, while the Stuttgart manufacturer sold 183.
If we add these two numbers easily together, the second and third best-selling brands in the electric market, do not reach Tesla’s numbers.
Closing the top 5 in the sale of electric cars in November are Peugeot (169 units registered) and Audi (85). Volkswagen (84), Opel (82) and Volvo (65) occupy the 6th, 7th and 8th position in this list, respectively, with Toyota (63) and MINI (60) closing the top10.
