Ten schools from the Republic of Moldova, equipped with high-performance equipment by the Government of Romania ~ InfoPrut
Ten schools in the Republic of Moldova will be equipped with 45 high-performance laptops and computers thanks to a donation of around 80,000 euros made by the Government of Romania.
About 7,000 students will use the equipment to study web and mobile app development, graphic design, programming, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and more.
“We are happy to have contributed financially to such a project, for the direct benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, namely the students and teachers of the 10 selected schools. We can say that Romania already has a tradition of supporting the education system in the Republic of Moldova, and I would only list the more than 1200 renovated kindergartens, 196 school minibuses, distributed throughout the country, but also the complete construction of a new building at the High School ‘Mihai Eminescu’ from Comrat, with teaching in Romanian. Romania remains the closest partner of the Republic of Moldova”stated Cristian-Leon Čšurcanu, Romania’s ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, according to a press release.
Thus, the Government of Romania and RoAid joined the “Tekwill in Every School” program and the “Digital Labs” initiative, these being renovated spaces of at least 50 square meters, equipped with electronic devices and furniture necessary for interactive studies. In special dedicated spaces, students can take IT courses or use computers to do homework or develop practical skills if they don’t have an electronic device at home.
