Russia-China: how the family is involved in the sustainable development of socio-economic cooperation between the two countries
With the support of the Roscongress Foundation, a regular meeting of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Association, Peace and Development was held in Moscow, dedicated to global partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China in support of social policy in the field of family and women support. The topic of the meeting is “Building a Family-Friendly Society”.
The participants discussed issues arising from the national projects of the Russian Federation and the decisions of the 20th CPC Congress, as well as the work plan of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development for 2023-2025.
The meeting was chaired by Svetlana Orlova, Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation. The Chinese side was chaired by Vice Chairman and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women’s Federation, Chairman of the Presiding Part of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development Lin Yi.
Representatives of Russian and foreign states, public medical and scientific organizations, research and educational institutions and experts spoke about projects that are being implemented in the field of state support for the family, motherhood and childhood, health, sports and education, exchange experience in implementing programs for implementation and cultural areas, youth policy, support for innovative entrepreneurship.
A comprehensive professional approach made it possible to comprehensively consider the issues under discussion and discuss proposals for deepening mutual cooperation. Thus, due to the attention paid to issues related to physical and mental health, the detection of diseases and the development of family diseases are a consequence of sports. By appointment of the President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, head coach of the Russian national team, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian part of the Healthy Lifestyle Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development Irina Viner Usmanova, it is necessary to connect as closely as possible with China with the integration of promising development projects, the expansion of a healthy lifestyle in every family: “I am sure that the first step in the process of developing interest in sports in a young athlete is the process of involvement in sports in his family. This is due to the most favorable conditions for the comprehensive development of the individual. Relationships, found in families, are revealed by the bearer of the way of behavior, are found in independent activity. Sport is the foundation of a sustainable society.”
The past event opens up broad horizons for the development of the business community of women in Russia and China, who serve the mission of peace, charity and humanity in the face of modern challenges. At the end of the meeting, the Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian part of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, Svetlana Orlova, citing the words of Chinese leader Xi Jinping, said: “Today’s exchange of views and development of cooperation within the framework of one of the specific priorities with such an important strategic partner as China is of key importance. It is necessary to lead, maintain mutual trust, respect and parish, learn from each other to create a global community of the common future of mankind.”
In addition to the main events, the parties discussed the work plan of the Women’s Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development for 2023-2025. Among the main areas of work are the holding of congress, business and training events with the support of women’s scientific organizations in Russia and China, including the exchange of experience on a wide range of topics: family and children’s health, sports, medicine, food, women’s labor in work and home, culture, upbringing. The participants also confirmed the exceptional joint work within the framework of the Eurasian Women’s Forum and SCO events and agreed to strengthen communication and share in the international arena, in a multilateral format, including within the UN, G20, APEC and BRICS.
