As part of the 27th round of the Tipsport extra league, the Spartans played against the home skaters on the ice of Mladá Boleslav. Thanks to Roman Horák, we soon managed to take the lead, but the home team soon responded and kept the balance until the middle of the third period. In that one, Vláďa Sobotka scored and thus decided on our eighth victory in a row. Kuba Kovář also made a big contribution to the success, especially in the second period he faced a large number of dangerous shots.
The Spartans started very actively and after only two minutes they got the first power play out of their efforts. In that, Honza Buchtele got a very promising opportunity, but not once did he find Krošelje without being close. Even with the game in full force on both sides, Dvořáček almost managed to score a curious goal when he threw the puck into the goal area from behind the goal and the Mladá Boleslav goalkeeper almost knocked the puck into his own net.
Only a few minutes later we could rejoice! David Tomášek went around the blue puck perfectly and shot directly at the stick Roman Horák, who no longer had a problem opening to play the match. Buchtele could have increased the visa, but this time he did not shoot the visiting goalkeeper either.
On the other side, Němeček was guilty of breaking the rules and the Mladá Boleslav hockey players had a large number at their disposal. And it wasn’t long before it was settled. After our gross mistake in passing, Ondřej Najman got the kei, who moved the k To Robert Lantoši and he shot through Kovář with a hard shot into the top corner.
At the end of the opening act, visiting Kousal made a quick escape and Dvořáček only had to stop him at a cost, the referee’s whistle saved us from the subsequent missed goal. In a weakened state, Kuba Kovař was immediately tested dangerously by the Skaters, but the Spartan goalkeeper managed everything, and the game ended in a tie.
The middle third started very cautiously and was played more in the middle zone. A foul by Štic and the second Spartan power play in the match could have changed it. We prepared several interesting combinations, but the shots of Gustaf Thorell and Roman Horák did not take off. But then Polášek was sent off and the home team took the initiative. Ondřej Najman got into a dangerous solo, but he was short on the great catching Kuba Kovář.
We didn’t warm up in full for too long, because Martin Jandus was punished for hooking. The Skaters could not use this advantage either, but they carried the game pressure into the game in a balanced number. Alex Lintuniemi shot dangerously, Tomáš Fort was also a threat.
However, Kuba Kovář continued to make one sure save after another and kept the match balanced. In the very end, it is not recommended to push even Matyáš Kantner with a hard shot from the circle, and on the other hand, David Tomášek did not succeed either. Everything was still open before the third period.
In the third part, we continued to witness a very valid game. Actions alternated on both sides and the main actors of the match were both goalkeepers. Home team Pontus Alberg tried to threaten from the right wing, but shot over the goal. The Spartan offensive also still failed to break the deadlock.
But that changed out of the blue about halfway through the third! Jan Buchtele piled the puck into the Mladá Boleslav goal from close range, from where it bounced in front Vladimir Sobotkawho found his way around and quickly swept the puck under the crossbar of the half-open Krošelje goal.
The home team immediately chased for an equaliser, but they were unable to settle in the attacking zone and the Spartans, on the contrary, threatened more from fast breaks. But the Bruslars prepared a big onslaught at the very end, when Krošelj left his position and the home team went to six.
Kovář fantastically disposed of a huge jam after an unfortunate rebound of the puck from Němeček. Buchtele could definitely decide with his kick, but he missed the empty goal by a few centimeters. Fortunately, in the remaining moments, the home team did not succeed in threatening our sanctuary, and we were able to celebrate the eighth three-point win in a row.
