Discussion of the territorial development of the Central Bohemian Region | Central Bohemian Region | News
A public hearing was held on the 10th update of the territorial development principles of the Central Bohemian Region. This concerned the specification of the corridor for the Prague – Dresden high-speed railway.
“The whole spatial planning process is described in the Building Act, so the council started the update. Negotiations took place with the relevant authorities, that is, ministries and other organizations. Now we are just getting to the public hearing, where the public can raise comments and objections within seven days from today,” said Jiří Snížek, deputy of the Central Bohemian Region.
Given that the Corridor D8 association of municipalities operates in the affected areas, Snížek expects that any objections or comments will be of a high level. He also believes that they will agree on everything together and it will become clear when the corridor could be realized.
“It just depends on how difficult the comments will be to incorporate. It can be estimated that within a quarter to six months, the council could approve the tenth update and thus define the corridor,” said Jiří Snížek, deputy of the Central Bohemian Region.
Several high-speed railways are planned in the Central Bohemia region. In addition to the one to Dresden, one should also lead to Brno and another to Beroun.
