December 9, 2022 AEX.RU – Airline «Russia” (Group Aeroflot), the airport Murmansk and a regional center for air traffic management, which is engaged in a career guidance event for students in the 10th and 11th aviation classes of the Murmansk Academic Lyceum. This was reported by the press service of the air carrier.

The program of high school students includes the study of aviation-oriented subjects, meetings with various professions, practical exercises, preparation for passing physical education standards and undergoing training by a specialized medical commission. After successfully completing the course, students are ready for appointment to the position of higher and secondary vocational education in the field of civil aviation.

As part of the event, a number of lectures were organized by representatives of various aviation professions, which open up the versatility of work in the industry for children. The official representative of Rossiya airline Sergey Starikov and director of the lyceum Elena Kozlova addressed the young aviators with an introductory speech.

Older flight attendant Rossiya Airline Flight Service Department Alena Ryabchikova said that she loves her profession and shared the intricacies of the cockpit operation.

Yury Kuznetsov, head of the Murmansk ATM Center, has a particularly high level of coverage of air traffic controllers and especially important work in the field of organizing safe air traffic, and also spoke about what competencies an air navigation specialist should have.

Representatives of the cynological service of the Murmansk airport took part in the event together with their four-legged helpers guarding the air gates. Customs officers shared their experience in the field of ensuring the safety of passenger and cargo air transportation.

Shulyapina Polina, Head of the Transportation Organization of Murmansk Airport, spoke about special airports and cargo transportation between divisions. She dwelled in particular detail on the topic of aircraft maintenance in the winter season, including the features of the work of ground equipment. Olga Khabarova, public relations specialist of the air harbor, spoke about the variety of professions represented at the airport.

The activities carried out within the framework of the project increase the motivation of talented youth, promote useful cooperation and high-quality training, which is an important factor in the dynamic development of the industry. This is especially important due to the fact that aviation will always be of strategic importance for the Russian Federation. The new step in the vocational education system is already showing high efficiency, which means that the program is additionally equipped. The training format is of interest to the guys, as evidenced by the high competition for performance.

Specialized classes were opened at the Murmansk Academic Lyceum in 2020. The first issue of the 11th aviation classes was released in the summer of 2022. In the future, they will form the personnel reserve of Rossiya Airlines and take part in projects.
