WUM Kraków: The best communes from Małopolska selected!
Today, Krakow’s Tauron Arena hosted those local governments that were involved in cooperation as part of the Forum of Mayors, Mayors and Presidents of Małopolska. The meeting began with the awarding of distinctions to the municipalities, which confirm the keeping of deposits in the Ranking of Małopolska Municipalities 2022, whose honorary patron is the voivode of Lesser Poland, Łukasz Kmita.
In this year’s edition of the Ranking on the podium awarded to the communes: Niepołomice, Wielka Wieś and Zielonki. These communes were also winners during the year. Leaders of individual districts were also elected.
– Plebiscites such as this one show that local governments in Lesser Poland are strongly committed to making their lives as good as possible. It is also thanks to good cooperation between the government and local government administration that Małopolska is a strong region. I would like to congratulate all the winners and encourage them to fruitful development. Let it be 2023, there will be further more intensive work, so that the ranking of each commune will improve its effects – says the voivode of Lesser Poland, Łukasz Kmita.

Ranking of Małopolska Communes for the initiative, which was carried out for the first time in 2011 by the FSLD Małopolski Institute of Local Government and Administration in Krakow, we cooperate with the Statistical Office in Krakow. From this year, the ranking, according to the same methodology, also operates in other voivodships, we cooperate with local statistical offices.
The aim of the initiatives is to promote local governments that stand out in terms of broadly understood socio-economic development. The list includes all communes in Lesser Poland, with cities with poviat rights (Kraków, Nowy Sącz and Tarnów). Evaluations are subject to values such as income, indicator ratio, balance of results or eighth classics.
