The prices and rents of offices and shops rose in the first half
Prices and rents went up offices and shops the first half of the year, as can be seen from the data released today by Bank of Greece.
How accurate were the office spaces
In particular, according to the available provisional data, in the first half of 2022 the nominal prices of high-end graphic countries increased by 0.7% for the whole country compared to the second half of 2021. In the same period, the nominal prices of high-end office spaces increased by 2% in the greater Athens area and 0.4% in Thessaloniki, while they decreased by 0.9% in the rest of Greece.
Based on the revised data, in 2021 the average annual growth rate of nominal high-end office prices for the country as a whole stood at 1.6%. The corresponding change time for Athens was 4.4%, for Thessaloniki 0.6% and for the rest of Greece -1.6%.
Regarding the rents of offices for the entire country in the first half of 2022 increased by 0.9% compared to the second half of 2021, based on provisional data. According to the revised data, office rents increased by 2.9% in the first half of 2021 and 0.3% in the second half of 2021, compared to the previous half. For the whole of 2021, office rents increased at an average annual rate of 3.8%.
The image in stores
In terms of stores, based on the provisional data available, in the first half of 2022 the nominal prices of high-end stores for the country as a whole increased by 2.4% compared to the second half of 2021. The same period the nominal prices of high-end stores increased by 3.1% in the greater Athens area, 1.4% in Thessaloniki and 1.5% in the rest of Greece, compared to the previous half-year.
Based on the revised data, in 2021 the average annual growth rate of the nominal prices of high-end stores was 2.3% for the country as a whole, while the corresponding price growth rates were 2.3% for Athens, 0.9 % for Thessaloniki and 2.5% for the rest of Greece.
Store rents are also on an upward trajectory, which in the first half of the year increased by 2.5% compared to the second half of 2021. Based on the revised data, store rents increased by 0.3% in the first half of 2021 and by 1.4% in the second half of 2021, compared to the previous half. For the whole of 2021, store rents increased with an average annual rate of change of 1.0%.
