Euroleague: Guerschon Yabusele (Real Madrid) probably back tonight against Monaco
Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo has announced the likely return of Guerschon Yabusele (2.01m, 26) for Thursday night’s game against Monaco and says he fears Mike James.
“Stopping Mike James is very difficult, but there is also Loyd, Moerman, whose best version remains to be seen, Okobo, Brown… He is a formidable player, decisive. I don’t care if he scores 20 points, but if he doesn’t make his teammates better. To try to win, we have to be very consistent and solid in one-on-one because they are a team with a great capacity for penetration and counter-attack. You have to try not to lose balls and ensure the rebound. »
Chus Mateo confirmed the return of Guerschon Yabusle, recovered from his knee injury, and announced some worries for Petr Cornelie, Walter Tavares and Gabriel Deck.
“Yabusele has been training with the team all week and maybe he can play. Cornelie has had a fever since Sunday evening, even though he trained today (yesterday Wednesday). And Deck and Tavares are in high demand, they carry a heavy load of games, but hopefully they could be there against Monaco. »
