Coparts Profi Service Days: Independent parts and service market live again in Frankfurt

Sugar Mizzy December 8, 2022

The motto of the event “Personal.Communicative.Innovative” was impressively implemented at the Frankfurt exhibition center. Coparts scored points above all with future topics such as electrical service and driver assistance systems. Expert information about the further development of IT and system services was also sought. And so both were found at the 14th Profi Service Days: the brand new industry meeting place with know-how transfer at the highest level, but also the partnership, fast family proximity of all cases. This smart mix of personal trade fair experience, technology, trends and factual information once again offered absolute added value for everyone who was in Frankfurt.

IT lead expanded

To ensure that system partners are equipped for the future in times of increasing digitization, the Dolphin version of the Coparts Online IT system was presented with new modules. The integration of the “Guided Troubleshooting” module was of particular interest to the trade fair visitors. The system creates completely new possibilities in the cooperation of all participants. Processes can be used on different devices across systems and also enable parallel processing. Customer and vehicle files were programmed to be self-learning. The highlights of the current version include the Partsindicator, the Fast Calculator, the graphic parts identification via the DAT, the VIN query and the fast calculation.

set exclamation mark

As the largest exhibitor, the system headquarters Coparts Autoteile offered their concentrated expertise for workshops and trade. The location in Frankfurt alone makes a statement in the aftermarket industry. The trade fair location is still the ultimate when it comes to infrastructure and reputation.

In the changing market of digitization, automation and general market changes, the trade fair offered orientation for market participants and reported solutions for challenges in the current and future service business – and not only for car companies, but in Frankfurt also again with informative commercial vehicles .

Current focus

Special topics on electromobility, diesel particle measurement, thermal management or modern driver assistance systems provided information on content that workshops and retailers are confronted with today and in the future: What does an e-axle look like? What influence do alternative drives have on the tire business? The “More Education Motor College” area referred to its own training courses and started the year 2023 with the new training catalogue. High-voltage training courses, the certificate for air conditioning specialists and training courses for working on driver assistance systems are very popular.

Competence in the aftermarket

Numerous exhibitors will show the influences that garage and retail customers are being adversely affected by the increasing use of modern technologies and drive concepts. Industrial and service partners of Coparts Autoteile presented their concentrated aftermarket power and offered smart solutions for current and future challenges. Expert discussions at the stands and live demonstrations at exhibits enable a real transfer of know-how and offered the trade fair visitors a varied and informative knowledge advantage – personally and communicatively.

New collaborations

The partnerships between GAS and the e-scooter expert Segway as well as GAS and NIO were presented for the first time at the trade fair. The car manufacturer NIO has been using the GAS service network for its models that have been available in Germany since October 2022 via direct online sales. By the end of 2023, NIO wants to set up 120 power-swap stations across Europe, which will enable the vehicle battery to be replaced in just five minutes.

It was also announced that following the acquisition of Deutsche Post’s StreetScooter business, the company renamed B-ON (formerly Odin Automotive) is collaborating with Global Automotive Service. If GAS boss Andreas Brodhage has his way, other vehicle manufacturers will follow: “We can offer a complete infrastructure in aftersales service – including faster mobility, transparent processes, our own warehousing, parts procurement and strong workshop partners. These cover service, inspection, maintenance, repair, bodywork, paintwork, tire and glass work. That makes us unique in the market.”

social commitment

As part of a fundraising campaign in favor of TeilEn eV and Kinder-Unfallhilfe eV, a sum was raised that will be used to buy educational trailers for road safety education for children and to raise their awareness of the dangers of road traffic. Coparts and GAS round up the donation proceeds and donate one of the trailers each. The six Coparts shareholders Heise u. Klatte, Küblbeck, Lorch, Springer, Wittich and Wütschner also take part in the social commitment and jointly donate another trailer.

The date for 2023 is already set

Based on the digital editions of the past few years, a multimedia and eventful information platform has been created in addition to the face-to-face event in Frankfurt. The trade fair activities via Coparts Online Dolphin went digital normally until December 6, 2022.

And it has already been clarified how things WILL continue in the coming year: The upcoming Profi Service Days will take place on 11./12. November 2023 in Frankfurt again.

Around 4,000 visitors at the evening event and 8,500 guests in total once again made the Profi Service Days 2022 a complete success.
