“Both of the policeman’s shots were meant to hit him,” says the 16-year-old’s lawyer.
“Both of the policeman’s shots were aimed at the same and they wanted to hit the 16-year-old,” said the Lawyer of his family Roma, who was shot in the head by a police officer during the pursuit that took place in Thessaloniki.
Speaking to the main news bulletin of ANT1 and Nikos Hatzinikolaou, Mr. Theofilos Alexopoulos said that “unfortunately, the 16-year-old’s health has not shown any improvement since the first moment he was hospitalized, we are waiting for a miracle” and stressed that there should be immediate information from the hospital with medical announcements.
Asked about his complaint that “police officers were slow to report the shooting and call an ambulance,” the 16-year-old’s family’s attorney said that “once the 16-year-old’s car was stopped, the stations that are there do not make any approach to see . if there is any injury. They were waiting you add. When they arrived at the scene of the OPKE, they went near the car and found that there was an injured person and signaled for the EMS to be called. This was already a waste of 5 to 6 minutes of time.” He continued: “What is surprising is that the center was informed of the shooting almost half an hour later. By the way, a policeman who was there does it at the end over the phone.”
Regarding the statements of the policeman’s defense attorney, Alexis Kouya, who is not talking about a cross-carriage, but about two low shots, Mr. Alexopoulos emphasized that “the claim that the policeman shot once high and once low towards his tires car, has now been confiscated. The second fireball has been found, at the door of the hotel, right in front of where the 16-year-old’s car stopped. We are talking about a shot in exactly the same direction as the first one. This is not one warning shot, but two directly aimed shots. From the calluses it appears that the two shots were repeated, so this also suggests that both shots had the same aim and both shots wanted to hit the 16-year-old.”
Regarding the possible motives of the police officer who shot the 16-year-old, Mr. Alexopoulos said: “It is very difficult to see the motives of the police officer, but it is certainly a wrong and illegal decision. I rule out the accident. The accident is where, in the decision finally that while pursuing a person he has not paid the 25 euro fee, he decides to immobilize him to draw his gun? The accident is that even though they have an experience, in a close decision even if he decides to throw warnings he finally missed and put directly to the head? Where to explain accident in this? It is a decision that is wrong from the beginning.”
