Asked by La Dépêche, the rear or international winger gave his feelings on the deadline for the first day of the European Cup, culminating in a revving up to arrive ready in Ireland:

“Of course there is a form of excitement that I had when I discovered the Top 14, the international matches and somewhere, these European Cup matches, they are international matches with a very strong intensity. So there’s a lot of excitement and apprehension on a level that we don’t know.

There is a strong history between the club and this competition. With all the past that there was, I want to be part of a page of this club in this competition. So I hope we will start the best way.

From the final whistle against Perpignan, where we really had our heads in the Top 14, we understood that we had to recover, that we simply had to get into Munster mode. It’s a general atmosphere that we feel within the club in the form of our training sessions, our meetings. The watchword is clear, we go to a higher level in terms of preparation. You feel it very quickly.
