Thessaloniki: Roma invasion of a restaurant
The incidents continue in Thessaloniki, where Roma are protesting the shooting of the 16-year-old by a police officer from the Jupiter Squad.
Around 11 p.m. on Friday, the group of people allegedly entered a restaurant on Megalou Alexandrou Street in the area of Cordeliou and caused damage.
In fact, according to GRtimes.grwere also recorded beatings against the owner and three employees of the store, who fortunately carry minor injuries.
According to the information, it all started “when Roma called the restaurant and asked for a table. When we told them that we don’t have it, they threatened us that they will operate and you will see us,” said the store employee.
A little later, two young men arrived at the store, who asked “for the employee to come out, in order to have a fight with him. There was a ruckus. We told them I have a table outside but they didn’t want to sit down, the employee stated.
The two people left but a little later they returned accompanied by 15 others, according to eyewitnesses, who broke into the store causing damage, while attacking the management and employees causing injuries to four people, the owner and the three workers.
An EKAB ambulance rushed to the scene and provided first aid to the injured.
