Collection of medals for “Karate Team Tana delle Tigri” in San Marino
Monte Argentario: Medals à gogo last weekend for the young tigers of “Karate Team Tana delle Tigri” at the International Open Karate for Kids in San Marino.
In the splendid setting of the Palaeventi Domus in San Marino, a good technical competition took place, thanks also to the excellent organization of the San Marino Federation (FESAM), represented by Pr. Maurizio Mazza, and his staff.
Also good level of arbitration, followed by the FESAM Manager Fabio Castellucci, always constructive and available to resolve small misunderstandings and/or discussions.
Excellent work in the distribution of categories and registrations, by the secretariat followed by Maestro Alessio Magnelli.
After the success of the past years none of us hoped for a repeat like this, but we hoped at least for some podiums.
And instead the impossible has become reality, results, podiums and medals.
With only 10 athletes from 7 to 12 years old, Tana delle Tigri managed to climb to third place in the ranking by society, tied with friends of the Sport Karate Academy of Livorno.
All thanks to these wonderful children and young people, who all won medals.
Excellent account of a work made of commitment, sacrifice also of families, but carried out with passion, love for karate, and lots of fun.
For us, the fun of the kids always comes first, and even long and tiring trips are a time to get together and play that overshadows the economic effort that families make for their kids. And when every now and then there is the satisfaction of seeing such improvements, and some medals, the enthusiasm skyrockets.
In the obstacle course good performance of the little ones Giordano Innocenti second and Cristian Valeri third.
Giordano also shows himself in the technical test and in the kata with two excellent second places Cristian bronze in the technical test and silver in the kata.
The 8-year-old brother Cesare bronze in Kumite, silver in the technical test and gold in the kata with a splendid performance.
Giacomo Innocenti three heavy golds, in the technical test, in the kata and also in the kumite with two overwhelming wins.
Excellent performances also for 11-year-old boys and girls with Alessandro Sandor with a silver in the technical test, bronze in kumite and undisputed gold in the kata.
Vittoria Giustarini bronze in kumite, and two golds in the technical test and in the kata.
Francesca Tanzini two silvers in the technical test and in the kata and an extraordinary gold in kumite with two superlative matches embellished by two ippon in the first and two in the second.
The Geres twins, as usual, did not disappoint by increasing their substantial collection of medals, Leon two silvers in the technical test and in the kata and bronze in kumite spoiled by questionable refereeing.
Brother Alex silver in kata and kumite and gold in the technical test.
The only one in the beginners category was Mario Ferrini, silver in the kata (penalized by the discordant scores of many of the 5 judges) and gold in kumite.
Unforgettable weekend, beyond the most desirable dreams. Excellent team, assisted by Maestro Nevio Sabatini, coached by Instructor Mourad Lamine, and led by coaches Tamara Calchetti, and Michele Giustarini, whose contribution is always decisive in management and control.
Once again we have had confirmation of the excellent work done so far, this gives us enthusiasm and motivation for the next appointments.
