Aid to the Ukrainian people: Toulouse launches a campaign to appeal for donations
The Town Hall of Toulouse and Toulouse Métropole are launching a major campaign to appeal for Ukrainian donations to help people get through the winter.
Toulouse, a city twinned with the city of Kyiv (kyiv) for almost 50 years, mobilizes all the energies of its territory to come to the aid of the Ukrainian people. The new urgency, as the country is snowed and bombarded, is to help Ukraine get through the winter. Millions of Ukrainians have no heat, electricity or water since the Russian attacks on their country’s energy infrastructure.
The Town Hall of Toulouse and Toulouse Métropole have launched a major fundraising campaign for Ukraine which will be visible on the Toulouse poster network from December 7th.
Make a financial donation to support the Ukrainian people
The Collectivité invites citizens to send their financial donations to associations such as Ukraine libre, La Croix Rouge, Secours Populaire, Secours Catholique, Médecins du Monde, etc. which have local branches or partners in the field, closest to the needs and stakeholders. Purchases are made on site or nearby, which also helps support the local economy.
Make a material donation adapted to the needs
Material donations should be dropped off in Hall 9 of the Parc des Expositions on the Ile du Ramier, open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Town Hall has set up a collection center for donations managed in particular with the Ukraine Libre association. Community agents are also mobilized as reinforcements.
To win the cold war, you need in particular energy generators, lamps, batteries and batteries, camping equipment (stoves, sleeping bags, etc.) and everything that can save heat. Medical equipment and basic hygiene products are still needed, as well as quick preparation food products, requiring little water and energy.
