Ukraine received 200 million euros from Germany to support displaced people

Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko met with Anka Feldhusen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine. During the meeting, Marchenko signed an agreement with the Credit Institution for Reconstruction (KfW), as well as a separate agreement to the Grant Agreement as part of the Program to Support the Sustainability of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine.
The Government of Ukraine will receive 200 million euros to cover the living expenses of the displaced persons. The funds will be sent to the State Budget of Ukraine in the near future.
Also, during the meeting of finance ministers, he noted Germany’s efforts in supporting the interests of Ukraine on the international arena, during their presidency of the G7 this year.
For her part, Anka Feldhusen assured that Germany will continue to support Ukraine’s efforts in the fight against the aggressor.
The parties also discussed the state of the financial and economic system of Ukraine, as well as other projects that are being implemented with the support of the German Government and KfW.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, 1.5 billion euros have been attracted from the Government of Germany (including a grant of 200 million euros). IDPs, as well as support of state programs for lending to small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.
