Take the train of new technologies. The installation of Le Wagon, a new training campus dedicated to tech and data professions, easily lends itself to the metaphor. But it is nevertheless a real TGV in this matter which will disembark at the station of Toulouse !
Meeting urgent business needs
From January 2023, The cart will open its doors in one of the hotspots of tech and new digital practices in the Pink City: the Village by CAalleys Jules-Guesde, or the digital campus created by the Credit Agricole 31. A new training course to meet the urgent needs in this area for companies: according to figures from Numberprofessional union of the digital ecosystem, in 2021, there were nearly 10,000 graduates in France in tech, data and mastery of code.
Toulouse, the 9e school in france
Le Wagon, present in 25 countries and now 46 cities around the world with the Pink City, is no stranger to this rapidly expanding field. In Toulouse, it will be the 9e school of this company which defines itself as “one of the world leaders in intensive tech and data training after Paris, Lyon (Rhone), Bordeaux (Gironde), Marseilles (Bouches du Rhône), Lille (North), Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) and Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). “We offer intensive nine-week training, with three times 60 hours of lessons. It takes 40 hours of preparatory courses upstream plus a week at the end of the training to talk about each student’s future career, perfect their CV and profiles, like Linkedin, “says Matteo Bianchithe general manager of Le Wagon in Toulouse.
Web Developer and Data Analytics
In this new campus, Le Wagon will focus on training in web development and data analytics, profiles that are sought after in the Toulouse metropolis, particularly in areas such as aeronautics and aerospace.
200 students per year eventually
And the digital transformation will be carried out at high speed…
“We are going to start with an initial class of 12 people then we will ramp up with four three-month training courses per year. Eventually, probably from 2024, we want to train 50 people per class, i.e. 200 students per year”.
Le Wagon puts forward a training that is not fixed, but anchored in the daily developments of the sector. “The program is developed in consultation with around fifty engineers”, continues Matteo Bianchi.
Open to all profiles
Le Wagon specifies that the ambition of the campus is to “grow and offer unique training, to change professional life and improve skills”. This is one of the specificities of the new campus located on the allées Jules-Guesde: allowing young post-baccalaureate students as well as active people or seniors in retraining to train in these cutting-edge professions (the average age of students at the Wagon campus in France is 31 years old). With a job market integration rate of 96% at the end of the training, with an average of 34 days to find a job (permanent, fixed-term, temporary assignments, etc.).
6400 euros for the three-month training
The price of the three months of training is 6400 euros (5800 euros for the launch). “It may seem expensive teacher at first glance but our teaching method offers one for 6-7 students. And there is funding via Pôle Emploi, the Personal Training Account (CPF), Opco (Skill Operators)… “, justifies the general manager of Wagon Toulouse.
On the other hand, the training is not based on the model of alternation or immersion in the company but rather on a thorough and accelerated training to be able to integrate the students into the job market, in particular in Toulouse.
