Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in the retail trade decreased by 7.5% in November 2022
Sweden’s retail sector recorded a 7.5% decline in IT hiring activity in November 2022 compared to the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
Total industry employment decreased by 19.83% in November 2022 compared to October 2022.
Of the total retail hiring activity, IT jobs took a share of 5.09% in November 2022, marking an increase of 0.72% compared to the average share over the past three months.
Top five job classifications in Sweden’s retail industry IT recruitment activities in November 2022
Of the total job titles, the top five roles had a share of 98.25% of the total IT recruitment activity for Sweden’s retail industry in November 2022.
1) Software and web developers, programmers and testers recorded a share of 57.89% in November 2022, with a growth of 13.79% compared to the previous month.
2) Data and information scientists claimed a share of 22.81%, up 18.18% from the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects had a share of 10.53%, registering a 100% increase from October 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists took a 3.51% share, unchanged from the previous month.
Top five retail companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment business in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of the number of jobs tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 62.86% of total IT recruitment activity for Sweden’s retail industry in November 2022 compared to October 2022.
Inter IKEA Holding posted 48 IT jobs in November 2022, registering an increase of 41.18% compared to the previous month, followed by Axfood with 5 jobs and unchanged growth. SOTI with 2 IT jobs and Zalando with 1 job, recorded unchanged growth and unchanged growth respectively, while Boozt noted unchanged growth with 1 job posting in November 2022.

Junior-level jobs had a 63.16% share, up 28.57% from October 2022. Mid-level positions with a 36.84% share recorded a 16.67% increase over the previous month.
