Siena, Ztl disciplinary: approves the changes
Updated and amended the Regulations for the issue of access and circulation permits in the restricted traffic area of Siena. The new document was approved by the municipal council yesterday, Monday 5 December.
“We have updated – declared the deputy mayor and councilor for mobility Andrea Corsi – some points of the specification based on the activation of new services, new deadlines and new concessions for electric vehicles compared to the last update. The innovations are mainly linked to the technological development for applications in the management of permits and to the emerging needs with respect to sustainability and security”.
In particular, the new specification takes into account the activation of additional online services: temporary permits valid from thirty minutes to three days for Third Sector entities and historic Districts, the service allows you to connect directly to the screen to be filled in for the request and receive permission via email; permanent white list of vehicles used as Ncc-Taxi, the service allows authorization/license holders to register their vehicle directly and free of charge and obtain an email response with the assigned registration number to be used for feedback and any license plate changes.
The new deadlines instead concern the permanent white list for Ncc-Taxi and vehicles identified by the ‘State Service’ mark or logo used for public services (emergency vehicles, vehicles for special use used for health services, urban network, integrated water service, public transport) or owned: Municipality of Siena, police force, Army, Fire Brigade, Asl, Sienese Sds, Arpat, whose next deadline will be 31 December 2027; temporary white list for the administration of the fourth dose of the anti-Covid 19 vaccination, which affects people over sixty and those defined as fragile, whose next deadline will be 31 December 2023; Third sector entities, valid for three years, expiring on May 31, 2026.
With regard to the concessions for electric vehicles to promote and encourage sustainable mobility, the introduction of a preferential rate for temporary permits valid from four to six months is envisaged for companies and construction/maintenance workers, who will be able on construction sites with concession of public land, with a fixed amount of 15 euros equal to half of the rate set for the annual permit; there is also provision for a fourth annual permit for exclusively electric traction vehicles for plant maintenance workers – construction with a fixed amount of 50 euros in analogy to the provisions for other electric vehicle permits in addition to the first. Finally, some parts have been rewritten to improve understanding of the Regulations.
