Poland no longer buys coal only from Antarctica
From the beginning of the year to the end of October 2022, 13.99 million tons of hard coal were imported to Poland, including 11.09 million tons of steam hard coal, WNP.PL found out. We bought coal, for example, in Hungary, Latvia and Lithuania, but also in India, Tanzania and Botswana.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, provided by WNP.PL, from the beginning of January to the end of October 2022, hard coal imports to Poland amounted to 13,993,746,252 kg.
Imports of coking coal amounted to 2,608,484,353 kg and imports of steam coal amounted to 11,093,593,813 kg.
Coal was imported from every continent except Antarctica.

The Deputy Minister of State, Karol Rabenda, announced a few days ago that in December another 2 million tons of coal will arrive in Poland, and after the new year an additional 5 million tons.
