Federica Castiglia and the joy of a real job – “It’s a real and stable job and, then, let’s face it: it’s a permanent job that gives ample guarantees. And I don’t find anything particular in a graduate who, as a job, freely chooses to be a sweeper”, explained the girl who proudly displays his new contract, defending the work of great dignity that he wanted to undertake, with no regrets for having given up on the course of study he had completed.

“I’m glad I no longer depend on my parents” – “For me it is a job of great dignity – underlined Federica Castiglia -. And then having won this competition and having conquered a permanent position gives me greater peace of mind. At 24 I suffered from the fact that I still weighed on my parents’ shoulders It’s frustrating not being able to become independent. I have to say that years of study have not paid off”.

The degree and no guarantee of a contract – The 24-year-old graduated in 2021. “I was very undecided about the course of study. I chose optics after attending a lesson that impressed me, I enrolled and graduated in time. Believe me: it took me a long time commitment, but then finding a job was difficult”, said the young woman, highlighting: “Only apprenticeship contracts, without any guarantees or prospects. Instead, now I’m in a safe place, where rights are respected and the pay is consistent to the working hours performed. Asia represents a certainty for my future”.

No regrets about having studied, but… – Do you regret having studied? “No, not this – replied the young woman -. Even if some doubts arise in the end. But basically it went well for me anyway”. Speaking of her parents, she then added: “My father is a retired policeman, my mother a housewife. I am happy that I have found a real job and that I am now independent from them. We celebrated”.

“Finally I can buy a car” – Finally the first salary. “Finally I will be able to buy a car. I will take it with an automatic gearbox. Because it is more comfortable in traffic, it is a small dream that I can now realize”, concluded the young woman.
