Náměstí Republiky: Thieves stole 70,000 worth of clothes
The city police patrol approached an employment agency on Republiky Square in Prague 1 on Saturday after four o’clock in the afternoon. He noticed something suspicious on the camera footage. A group of people stole from shops, then loaded the goods into a parked car.

The officers did not hesitate and surrounded the parked vehicle. After a few minutes, two women appeared on the scene and wanted to get into the car. However, they denied everything in front of the police and claimed that they did not buy anything. “I’ll call a lawyer,” one of the women tried to defend herself in vain, the other only pretending to be the driver. Camera footage and goods hidden in the car testified against them.

The police arrived at the scene and took the thieves into custody. “At the request of the state police, the woman was called unloaded clothes with sales tags with a total value exceeding 70 thousand crowns from the vehicle,” said Jiřina Ernestová, spokeswoman for the city police.
