Michaël Debève (Toulouse) was interviewed by the LFP’s legal commission
Absent from the resumption of training last Thursday in Toulouse, Michaël Debève still does not know for what exact reason he was laid off by his club. According to the usual protocol of the disciplinary procedure initiated by his employer, the assistant coach (52 years old) of Philippe Montanier was heard by the Legal Committee of the League (LFP), this Tuesday afternoon by videoconference at the same time as his leaders.
During this “confrontation” between the two parties, a mandatory step to be respected in this case, the club’s management pointed out a serious fault committed by the technician, without specifying which one, to justify its decision. Unless surprised, the conciliation should therefore not be successful. According to our information, Debève and his lawyer could seize the industrial tribunal in the coming days on the grounds of “early termination of an employment contract”.
The former Violets midfielder is subsequently under contract with Toulouse until June 2024, after the extension signed this summer with Montanier. But according to the Midi Dispatch, his new commitment would not have been sent by the promoted to the LFP, and therefore not registered. He would only be linked to Téfécé until the end of the season.
