Index – Domestic – Five new trolleybuses are in service in Budapest
According to BKK, the vehicles of the Polish-Czech manufacturer are barrier-free, air-conditioned and capable of driving at least four kilometers in self-driving mode.
The technical design of the new vehicles is identical to the design of the fourth-generation Trollino 18s already in circulation, only their front walls have changed during the latest model update.
The modernization of the trolleybus fleet is due to a BKK took advantage of options and ordered the remaining 48 vehicles based on the contract concluded with the Solaris-Skoda manufacturer.
The trolleybuses are coming to Budapest in an extremely favorable construction for the capital, at “almost 2014 prices”. The vehicles cost a total of 26.7 million euros, and the coverage is provided by the Budapest municipality.

In a new video shared on BKK’s social media page, it was presented by flight, on which they also collect shoebox gifts. The packages are delivered to needy children in the poorest parts of Hungary.
The launch was broadcast live from the Városháza park. On the occasion of Advent, Gergely Karácsony presented the festive trolleybus.
