Appointment with the second edition of the Via dei Presepi, organized by the Pro Loco San Miniato and the San Miniato Promotion Foundation: the inauguration is scheduled for December 8, in Via Angelica (which can be accessed from the Pro Loco headquarters), at 12 in Piazza del Popolo.

There will be 28 cribs in the historic center and another four in the municipal area that people will be able to appreciate from 8 December until the end of the Christmas holidays, for the Epiphany.

Fondazione San Miniato Promozione and Pro Loco are pleased to invite the population to the inauguration and to visit the various nativity scenes. On the same day, the San Miniato Promozione Foundation organizes the small antiques and handicrafts market along the streets of the center (Piazza Dante, Corso Garibaldi, Piazza del Popolo, Loggiati di San Domenico). But that’s not all, because from 2.30 pm in the chapel of San Pietro there will be a workshop with the artist Cui Li, curated by Moti Carbonari, ATeLab, Pro Loco and Fermento. The initiative will consist of: a workshop with exhibition of artistic installations, a performance by the artist, video projections, DJ sets and food experiences. Without forgetting that – on the same day – the eleventh half marathon of San Miniato will take place, dedicated to the memory of the runner Giuseppe Cerone (departure at 9).

Finally, the Shalom Movement is proposing a conference whose title is ‘Let’s break the silence on persecuted Christians in the world’; beginning at 10.30 in Palazzo Grifoni, with the presence – among others – of Cardinal Beniamino Stella. In short, a Feast of the Immaculate Conception full of cultural, religious and sporting initiatives in the City of good living.
