DEBRECEN

Debrecen runs in an ugly hoodie – Cívishír.hu

Sugar Mizzy December 6, 2022

For the seventh time, gifts are collected for families with a difficult fate in ugly Christmas hoodies in Budapest and Debrecen.

Regina Galambos-Parti, the founder of Bakancslista Magyarország, organized the first Christmas Ronda Hoodie Run together with her husband, Pál Galambos, in 2015. They dreamed up a real family event: young and old, sporty and less mobile can take part in the experience run, as the distances can be completed by sprinting, jogging or even walking.

In support of Metál-Sheet Kft., they also run in downtown Debrecen wearing ugly hoodies: starting from Baltazár Dezső tér, Piac utca pedestrian zone and the fabulous Debrecen market. At the gathering station, before the start, one-time Hungarian champion Tibor Tisza, five-time Hungarian national football player and other top athletes will warm up together, after which the 5.2 kilometer distance can be run individually or in relays, with a stroller or puppy, with family or colleagues – of course it’s ugly in a hoodie. The event is organized jointly with Főnix Rendezvényszerzégo Kft., which organizes the Debrecen Advent and Flower Carnival programs.

– It should be noted that we do not think that only the end of the year is important, that altruism and helping children are of prime importance, our express goal is to continue participating in charity events in the future and to support such events – said Zsófia Máthé, from Metál-Sheet Kft.’s marketing manager, supporter of the Karácsonyi Ronda Pulcsis Futás in Debrecen.

Charity

We want to make the Christmas of hundreds of families in difficult life situations in Debrecen and its catchment area more beautiful, so we deliver the donations offered by the runners to the families through the Family and Child Welfare Center of the DMJV. The organizers are looking for gifts with which children under 18 can be surprised: toys, books, and possibly sweets, which a child can enjoy. Donations will be collected at the donation point on Baltazár Dezső tér on December 10th between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the venue of the Christmas Ronda Pullover Run.

– We know that 365 days a year, we try to help our fellow humans with a more difficult fate, and we find that there is a greater willingness to donate during the Advent season. it is important that in today’s very difficult situation, we look out for each other, as well as each other’s families. With the donations offered to the Christmas Ronda Hoodie Run, even children who spend their everyday lives and holidays in a difficult situation can have an experience, said Aurélia Ibolya Orosz, head of the Family and Child Welfare Center of the DMJV.

Let’s raise the Christmas light with a truly nice gift, following the principle of “it’s good to give good”, by collecting items in preserved condition and sweets with a longer warranty period: children’s toys, stuffed animals, children’s books, board games, chocolates, candy, other sweets. The organizers are waiting for material donations at the location of the run.

Those participating in the Christmas Ronda Hoodie Run don’t have to do anything other than pick up the cutest, ugliest or funniest Christmas hoodie, hat, scarf – and of course running shoes – and also bring a package intended for those in need.

Ronda hoodie replacement

Bring your bored ugly hoodie so that others can enjoy the funny pattern in which so many good photos of you have been taken in previous years. In return, find your new favorite, whether it’s the roasted turkey, Santa or the light-up miracle, so that it can await its rebirth in your closet at some Christmas event… even on the run!

Participation in the event is freeto register for the Budapest and Debrecen events [email protected] it is possible in a message sent to e-mail address by indicating the city.
