ALL ANTWERP. “There is a lack of economic knowledge in society” (Antwerp)

Every weekday our reporter and photographer choose a casual passerby from the street for a nice conversation. Because everyone has a story. Especially in Antwerp. Today: Danny Lau (21).
“I am currently studying Commercial Sciences at KU Leuven in Antwerp. This is the result of a healthy passion for economics. Why am I so bitten by that subject? Economics is relevant in all areas. You can’t ignore it in the current situation, but there is still a lack of economic knowledge in society.”
“I myself deal with it every day, even apart from my studies. For example, I am very busy with cryptocurrency. Not with the intention of getting rich off it, but it’s a boat I didn’t want to miss. If you have the necessary knowledge, you will soon realize that there is not just being connected, as the media often make it out to be. In the meantime I’m in a loss myself, so I haven’t mentioned much of it yet. But that has everything to do with the current economic situation.”
“Within a few years I hope to be at the helm of some company. In my eyes that is a realistic dream. My field of study eats up my free time, but when I realize my goals soon, it will all have been worth it.” (lava)
