Minister Carole Grandjean, Minister Delegate in charge of Education and Vocational Training, visited the Déodat-de-Séverac high school on Monday where timetables are arranged for young rugby players from Stade Toulousain.
This Monday, December 5, Carole Grandjean, Minister Delegate for Education and Vocational Training went to the Déodat-de-Séverac high school in Toulouse where timetables are arranged for young rugby players from the Stade Toulousain. Five Toulouse high schools are in partnership with the Rouge et Noir club under the direction of Emile Ntamack, a former international, now responsible for youth courses at the club.
Stade Toulousain has been committed for several years to the success of young people in vocational high schools. At the Gabriel Péri, Gallieni or Déodat-de-Séverac high schools, the club prepares young people in their professional but also personal training. In particular, some hopefuls of the club may have a schedule arranged in order to end the day early and be able to train. “We want to open up the range of choices, so that the training of these young people is not sacrificed,” explains Emile Ntamack. In his time, Emile Ntamack himself had followed a similar course with a double sport studies project at Jolimont high school.
“We educate through sport”
“We educate through sport. It allows us to make fulfilled people” continues Emile Ntamack. Among the students, Iotua, aged 17, is preparing for her last year of electrical trades. Rugby player in Blagnac, he still hesitates between engineering BTS or STAPS training.
This partnership with Stade Toulousain is part of the agreements concluded with other local companies. Along the same lines, some students choose apprenticeship contracts with groups such as RTE and Scle, in the energy sector.
