The filming of the Hollywood film “Dirty Angels” has begun – What traffic regulations will apply due to the filming
Filming of the Hollywood action film “Dirty Angels” has begun in Thessaloniki, with Eva Green as the protagonist and Martin Campbell as director, who has directed two James Bond films, among others.
As the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, had recently stated, the film has a cost of around 35 million euros, of which approximately 25 million will be spent in his area, while filming will take place in studios in Thermi, Asvestochori, Perea, in the areas of western Thessaloniki, in mountainous Halkidiki and in other places.
“We are talking about at least 250 new jobs for this film, Greeks, capable people, young people who now, after so many years, had no place to work based on their studies, find a way and are absorbed through this mobility. Filming will take three months in Greece. Then the film that will be completed in Morocco and in post production, Thessaloniki which also stars in this film” the regional governor had pointed out.
Traffic regulations
Due to filming, traffic regulations have been put in place since Sunday afternoon.
According to the announcement of the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate, the following applies:
- Until 18:00 on the evening of Tuesday (December 6, 2022), the traffic of all vehicles will not be carried out in the right traffic lane of Niki Avenue, from the height of D. Gounari Street (beginning of the diversion of the existing bicycle path towards the beach front) , with a maximum length of approximately one hundred and twenty (120.00) meters, in the direction of 30th of October Street. Vehicular traffic is conducted from the free part of the roadway of Victory Avenue (two lanes).
- Until 18:00 on Tuesday evening (December 06, 2022), there is no vehicular traffic on Morkendau Street, from the height of Victory Avenue to the height of Consul Koromilas Street. Vehicle traffic will be conducted from Chrysostomou Smyrnis, Mitropoleos, Lori Margariti, Morkentau, Prox. Koromilas, Nik. Germanou, Tsimiski, Pavlou Melas and from the surrounding streets of the area.
“Drivers are requested to pay particular attention, to comply with the signs, to avoid traffic accidents and traffic jams. We ask for the understanding and cooperation of citizens» concludes the announcement.
