London/Prague – An easyJet flight from Poland to Britain was diverted to Prague airport overnight today due to a possible explosive device on board. The British media reported on it. The airport later said that no dangerous object was found during a pyrotechnic search.
Prague Airport said on Twitter that the plane landed safely in Prague on Sunday at 22:50 CET. “At 10:50 p.m., a diverted plane on the Krakow-Bristol route landed safely at Prague Airport. The presence of an improvised explosive device was suspected on board. All measures are currently being taken to ensure the safety of passengers and all air traffic,” wrote the airport’s website in Prague.
The police confirmed on Twitter that their pyrotechnicians are on the scene and are investigating the presence of the reported explosive device. The airport later said that no dangerous object was detected on the plane.
