New tenders for 613 affordable housing in Lisbon — idealista/news
The Lisbon City Council (CML) will launch two tenders within the scope of the Affordable Income Program — Concessions (PRA) for the construction of 923 new dwellings, 613 of which are for affordable rent, in benfica and not Nations’ park. The estimated total investment for the projects is around 155 million euros.
In Benfica, according to the newspaper Expresso, which advances the news, the construction of 688 income houses is planned, 229 of which are destined to free and 459 of affordable income, in an investment of 120 million. No longer Nations’ park investment is around 35 million, in a total of 235 homes, of which 154 are accessible. According to the newspaper, these two tenders were launched in 2021 and succeeded in not having proposals accepted until mid-year.
Housing councilor Filipa Roseta also told Expresso that a “construction potential of about 9,500 homes in chamber lands that are not in use”. “The empty ones, which need subdivision and have a longer period to enter the market; and the medium-term ones, where subdivisions are already in place and have an average horizon of two to three years — like Marvila and Entrecampos”, said the person in charge.
House prices and rents push families to the peripheries
