Once again, the Federer family proved that not only the retired tennis star Roger Federer (41) is sporty.
His wife Mirka Federer and their four children Myla, Charlene (both 13), Leo and Lenny (both 8) ran the traditional “Course de l’Escalade” in Geneva on Saturday. The 44-year-old ran in the category Women III and completed the 4.8 kilometers in 25 minutes and 22 seconds. The former tennis player, who competed under the alias “Mirka Fed”, took a remarkable 147th place out of 900 participants. The two pairs of twins were also present and also went by the surname “Fed”.
Roger Federer prefers to watch basketball
The run has been taking place in a wide variety of categories for adults and children since 1978 and is characterized by the fact that many participants compete in costumes. However, two elite races will also be held. Among the men, top athletes such as the Swiss long-distance runners Tadesse Abraham (40) and Julien Wanders (26) have already triumphed.
Only someone from the Federer clan was not there: Papa Roger. On Saturday, the tennis legend was also in Geneva for a sponsorship appointment with the watch manufacturer Rolex, but the next day the 20-time Grand Slam winner was photographed in New York. In Brooklyn, he attended the Nets’ NBA game against the Boston Celtics in the evening. (che)
