LKW: In future, photovoltaics will be remunerated according to the direct marketing model – Liechtenstein
SCHAAN – According to the revision of the EEG law, the funding for photovoltaic systems (PV) in Liechtenstein will be reorganized from January 2023. The EEG systems and market systems will in future be remunerated according to the direct marketing model. This means that the remuneration for photovoltaic production is based on current stock market prices.
As LKW explains via mailing, the payment for PV production WILL be recalculated in 15-minute increments according to the current stock market prices and carried out according to the existing payment modalities. If the stock exchange prices are below the minimum price of 6 centimes per kilowatt hour set by the government on an annual average, the producers receive a compensatory amount at the end of the year, so trucks continue to die. PV systems without contractual support will also benefit from this minimum price from January 1, 2023. EEG plant operators with existing contracts can also switch to the direct marketing model at the end of the next billing period by reporting the desired switch to LKW customer service, LKW continues.
The settlement will continue to be processed by the Liechtenstein power plants. The current measurement data and exchange prices are published on energieportal.li and can be viewed by the respective customer. Anyone who has registered on energieportal.li has full insight into PV production, their own electricity consumption and their bills. According to LKW, the 15-minute values can be used to identify power guzzlers and reduce power consumption. Registration on the energy portal is free for all truck electricity customers.
