Ádám Szalai: Hungary has always been and always will be my primary home
I really miss Hungary, especially after all this time. I have been living abroad for more than twenty years now. When I can be at home for a few days, I am completely recharged.
His company is based in Hungary. After your professional career, do you imagine your life here or abroad?
I really miss Hungary, especially after all this time. I have been living abroad for more than twenty years now. When I can be at home for a few days, I am completely recharged. I hope that we will have the opportunity to live in Hungary, but what kind of role and what I imagine in the future after my running, the big race will determine where we will live in terms of lifestyle. Hungary has always been and always will be my primary home, but where I can progress further in relation to work will definitely depend on where this station will be.
In which one have you felt most at home so far?
After Hungary, I lived in Germany the most, so after spending so many years there, I felt at home there, I was able to settle in very well.

He mentioned his future, the period after his career. You recently took part in coaching, will we soon see you in a new role?
Last month, I successfully passed the B+A license training. It was not an easy period, as I had to be at home two Mondays a month, I traveled a lot, but I am incredibly grateful and indebted to the MLSZ for giving me a place in the training. I had a great time, everything was positive and professional, I’m glad I took the plunge and did it.
so will you be a coach?
What is interesting is that if we were talking about how I imagined my future ten years ago, how would I not have said that I would definitely like to stay in football after my career. However, as I got older, I felt that I might as well try myself, and now we’re talking about passing the exam. However, I don’t know yet exactly what role and where I want to be, but I am sure that I want to stay close to football.
