TOULOUSE

Toulouse. TFH: too much adversity

Sugar Mizzy December 4, 2022

Traveling to Alsace, at the leader’s dolphin, in Achenheim / Truchtersheim, Toulouse did not manage to compete. Even if traveling is becoming a specialty for Fabien Vedel’s players – their three victories were enjoyed away from their bases – the adversity was particularly serious this time. The ATH, with six successes in seven outings, is the main competitor of the Franciliennes de Saint-Maur at the head of the D2.

On the realization of their nice success at ASUL / Vaulx-en-Velin last week, the Toulousaines enter this part with envy. And they start at breakneck speed. ATH found the posts twice, Toulouse two penalties. The engagements fuse, the local defense is compact, hard to overflow and Léa Fargues already connects the stops. With all that, we almost forget to talk about the score. He quickly became favorable to the Alsatians who advanced in stages: 1-2, then 4-2 (5th); 5-4, then 9-4 (14th). Toulouse constantly changes its defensive system, the ATH adapts to it, but Andrea De La Torre watches: 14-9 (23rd) and 18-11 at the break.

Last of the year at home

This first period will have been resolutely offensive and if we add that the two goalkeepers have combined 19 saves, that says a lot about the pace of the game.

The recovery, on the other hand, is a little more messy on both sides, but the scheduling remains the same, the balance of power does not change, the defense of the ATH continues to stifle the attack placed by Toulouse: 22- 13 (39th). Amy Adams (7/10 in shooting) and Emmy Escribe try to soften the addition, but the defeat is clear: 28-15 (47th) and 36-22 in the end.

After a week’s break, Toulouse will play their last game of the year at home against Noisy.
