We ended the week victorious! The series of full-fledged triumphs continues even after Sunday’s match in Brno, where, thanks to a certain Josef Kořenář and a great finish, we deservedly won 6:2 and extended the winning streak to six games in a row.

The Spartans came into the game active, already in the first minute Erik Thorell attacked, found from the zone David Tomaska, who did not mess up in front of the goal, looped around Dominik Furch and opened the scoring after 43 seconds. Michal Řepík’s inaccurate shot from the circle did not lead to success, as did the home player’s attempt from the left side.

Brno struggled, closed our team around the goal and driving into the goal area Kim Stromberg shot the puck into the upper part of the goal. The Comet equalized, and in the following minutes they were at their best, but Petr Kratochvíl’s cross from the right side was pushed out by Josef Kořenář beyond the right post. The pressure of the Moravians was subsequently successfully suppressed.

In the middle of the third, he also got the puck when we were under less pressure in the zone Martin Jandus, who didn’t mess up on the blue line, got free by breaking into the right circle and gave Sparta the lead back with a great shot into the upper part of the goal. The game spilled from one side to the other, but no significant chance came on either side of the ice surface.

Entering the second act, Forman’s possession was marked. In the power play, Luboš Horký found himself between the circles, but Josef Kořenář’s concretes closed in time. Immediately Kundrátka’s shot from the left circle licked the top bar and the power play ended in failure. In a calmer passage, however, the Spartans attacked on the right side and a subtle shot David Dvořáčka kicked Dominik Furch out of the goal.

On the other hand, Jakub Flek couldn’t get past Josef Kořenář with his backhand, just like Jan Buchtele and Eduard Šalé with their clearly visible attempts. Halfway through the third period, Adam Zbořil flew into the zone, but with his backhand loop he ended up just like Jakub Flek – unsuccessfully. The turning point occurred during a bad Spartan substitution.

The exclusion of the home fans cheered, Kometa got into the zone and scored an attempt in the submission Luboš Hot swam into the net. Brno confirmed that they are strong at home after scoring a goal, but Jakub Flek’s clever shot from the turn did not catch the Spartan goalkeeper by surprise. Although Jan Buchtele went to the penalty spot, after only a few seconds Tomáš Kundrátek finished off Jakub Krejčík’s goalpost and the number of players was even. The heated end of the third brought only an interesting stop by Jakub Flek, which was saved by Josef Kořenář and then went down with a penalty on both sides.

The cautious start of the third period led by the Spartans did not bring much excitement. The exception was the renumbering under the leadership of Jakub Konečný, who went around Jan Ščotka on the right and found an unguarded man on the back post Ostapa Safina – 2:4. In the sixth minute, Marek Hrbas illegally finished off David Vitouch in the middle of the pitch, which earned him two minutes, which Jan Buchtele also received for the subsequent revenge and collusion with the Brno defender.

In four, Kometa was active, for which the players on both sides went to the penalty bench for the superiority, and that for a renewed fight after the whistle. Although the Moravians did everything for the settlement, a certain Josef Kořenář was especially against it. The Kometa’s pressure dampened Gulaš’s error, after which a few seconds later Radek Kučerík also made a mistake and the home team went to three!

Our team calmly settled in the zone and got a patient combination charged in front of the goal unguarded Roman Horák, who burned through Marko Čiliak. Finally for a change Jakub Konečný made a trip to the attacking zone, after which he beat the Slovakian goalkeeper for the second time with an easy shot. In the end, Comet tried to create drama, but the chances did not come. The skirmish between Martin Jandus and Adam Zbořil did not change the course of the match, which is why we won our sixth win in a row in Brno!
