Toulouse and Bayonne resume their march forward, the UBB down Brive
For the 12th day of the Top 14, Aviron Bayonnais, Stade Toulousain and UBB beat LOU, Perpignan and Brive respectively.
A new fat that falls to Jean-Dauger. After La Rochelle, UBB or Stade Toulousain, Aviron Bayonnais offered itself the LOU (19-17) this Saturday afternoon for the 12th day of Top 14. A sixth victory in as many home games, acquired thanks to a try from Martin Bogado (5th) and two drops from Camille Lopez (20th, 63rd). The Bayonnais are in the top 6, tied on points with their opponent of the day, Lyon, who had still managed to flatten by winger Ethan Dumortier (17th). A setback for Xavier Garbajosa’s men after their prestigious victory against Toulouse last weekend.
For its part, Stade Toulousain took the offensive bonus against Perpignan at Ernest-Wallon (34-13), and resumed its march forward after three games without a win. The teammates of Antoine Dupont, who performed his return after serving his suspension, are registered four tries by Matthis Lebel (34th), Alexandre Roumat (38th), Jack Willis (50th) and Romain Ntamack (76th). Something to reassure before entering the Champions Cup against Munster next Sunday. Perpignan remains penultimate in the championship.
The UBB is relaunching! In great sporting difficulty in recent weeks and shaken by internal tensions with the departure of Christophe Urios, the Bordelais have regained the taste of victory by beating Brive (33-13). Plus a bonus. Jean-Baptiste Dubié, Matthieu Jalibert, Mahamadou Diaby and Madosh Tambwe each scored a try. The UBB temporarily rises to 8th place. Opposite, Brive only flattened once by Mathis Ferté (74th). Insufficient to hope for anything other than a seventh consecutive defeat. The Coujous are the last of Top 14.
