The Minister of Defense told whether the Patriot anti-missile systems, which Kyiv needs from the West, are dangerous for Belarus
Foul, so foul! It seems that some countries have decided so. Ukraine again passed the ball to the side of the West. The race of the armed forces is entering a new round, although Western politicians are increasingly talking about … negotiations. Who would have thought! About them – separately and a little later, but for now we assume from the investigation, and here Belarus. Of course, we have nothing to do with the conflict itself, but, alas, all this concerns us. On Thursday, Alexander Lukashenko convened a meeting with the power bloc to discuss defense issues. After all, even football: if there is a hole in the defense, someone will definitely break through.
We go to bed with this news and get up with this news. For the power unit, these are really reports from the front. In this conflict they are, of course, outside observers. But is it really necessary to remain in the role? If the number on the other side of the border is an incredible weapon. Once a year, after all, the stick shoots. As times with them and readers. And it looks like it was very recent. And yet so long ago.
But now they need a real patriot. Kyiv unexpectedly needed help from the West. This time – anti-missile systems “Patriot”. True, permission to use them must … Germany. After all, it is she who contains the installation in Poland to protect their skies from Ukrainian missiles. It seems that no one is happy with such “greetings” from Zelensky. They didn’t even apologize. Because of all this, a serious discussion broke out. After the capture of the rocket, Kyiv is no longer promised, except of course, full support. But is the Patriot so dangerous and how do they fight from it?
Viktor Khrenin, Minister of Defense of Belarus:
– No, this will not create additional benefits for Belarus. In general, the air defense system is a defensive system. They are important for countering aircraft weapons against missile weapons, so they are excluded here.
Anna Pyzh, ONT:
– In general, how do you assess the level of danger from the south? Can we get a “surprise” on the use of a rocket that flew to Poland?
– The situation today is unpredictable. We are monitoring it very carefully, taking a set of measures, so now there is no need to think.
– On the eastern flank, does he continue to build up his grouping?
– We see a set of measures for advance preparation for war. The indicators that we use, and as a result of which we get results, take years. Therefore, the word is – preparation is in advance. There is no direct preparation that the group is being infected right now.
From good news: the war, apparently, will not start tomorrow. Of the not so good ones: no one can be sure that it will not continue at all.
Alexander Lukashenko, President Belarus: “Ukraine, under a broad pretext, will most likely try to pull out the troops of NATO member states in the conflict, which will help to throw a missile on the territory of Poland.”
Now let’s look at the situation from the other side. This week, the secretary general of the disclosure of the occurrence: there is only one condition for considering an application for membership in the alliance – her victory in the war. That is, NATO does not take losers. And what if they catch that the chances of winning are fading? Will they intervene? Do their attacks turn into real attacks? These are all unanswered questions…
Alexander Lukashenko, President Belarus: “While we are watching with the expected occurrence … to detect and not to miss, in any case not to miss the symptoms that manifest themselves in direct preparation for aggression against our country.
The smart learn from their mistakes, the wise – on strangers. Belarus learned this life lesson well.
Alexander Lukashenko, President Belarus: “Lessons, lessons, lessons. We are learning lessons from what is happening around the perimeter of our Belarus – our favorite task.”
The training programs for Belarusian fighters are changing, modernizing the army, but without arms races. And here, as said, no details.
Of course, this is for the most part a closed meeting and, of course, reports on the war are not expected to be made public. After all, if you want to make the source laugh, tell him about your plans. And Belarus’ plans are purely defensive – they do not get tired of repeating this. But knowing the weak points of the defense can become half the success if something happens. Here, just in case, I want to make “pah-pah-pah”.
It is important, however, not to spit accidentally into someone else’s well. We are bystanders. And it’s good if all this goes well.
