DECEMBER 3 WORLD DAY OF THE DISABLED SPECIAL PROGRAM WAS HELD IN ISTANBUL
A special event account by our Ministry of National Education on the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Special students witnessed colorful events during the 3 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities program that took place at Zübeyde Hanım In-Service Training Institute in Istanbul Ataşehir.
Diyarbakır Special Voices Choir, which came to Istanbul upon the invitation of our Minister, Mr. Mahmut Özer, took the stage in the program. He tried to sing from what he saw in the concert, which was appreciated by the audience.
Deputy Minister of National Education Mr. Osman Sezgin, General Director of Special Education and Guidance Services Mr. Cemal Özdemir, our Provincial Director of National Education Mr. Levent Yazıcı, provincial and district administrators, teachers and parents attended the program.
Speaking in the program, our Deputy Minister Osman Sezgin said, “Today, we have words to say by taking an example from our ancestors. Our view of our own culture should have looked at people before. .We, those with lower syndrome and those with visual impairments, are all equal beings.” said.
Stating that disabled people are approached with sensitivity in our culture, Sezgin said, “It is said that they are the trust of Allah and they are not excluded. Wherever they go, they take center stage. Anatolian people have such compassion and mercy.”
Cemal Özdemir, General Manager of Special Education and Guidance Services, stated in his speech that he aims to achieve results in an equal and accessible way in all areas of life, with the employment of people with disabilities, education, health, employment and social life. For this purpose of the United Nations, Özdemir declared December 3 as the ‘World Day of Persons with Disabilities’ in order to draw attention to the disabilities of the disabled and to provide access to the disabled, and said, “As the Ministry of National Education, one of the services provided by the education given to the people with special education needs, in education”. The principle is the environment, we continue to work with the aim of supporting the developmental social life of these individuals and ensuring that they can adapt to social life, prepare computers or neighborhood areas and become productive individuals.
Özdemir stated that the provision of opportunity benefits in education is one of the basic principles of our Ministry, and that this principle is achieved and that our Ministry continues its efforts to increase the access of all students with different disabilities to the results and educational environments.
Levent Yazıcı, our Provincial Director of National Education, who made a keynote speech in the program, emphasized that the way to become people with hope for the future of disabled people is to reduce their lives further and ensure their integration with the society, and drew attention to the basis of the initial length of this realization. Yazıcı said, “Overcoming the obstacles that we are all about to be born is primarily a marriage of logic.
