Thus a 27-year-old ended up under house arrest, who was hit by a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of Lucca, after police investigations.
The investigation delegated to the flying squad had started after the coup on an activity in Lucca. It was the owner who had discovered the theft by going to his business who called the agents. Unknown people had broken into the cash box and the change machine with burglary tools.

Through the vision of cameras purposely installed by investigators near the distributor and those of the municipal video surveillance system, the investigators traced the scooter used to commit the theft and reconstructed the route used by the two thieves to reach Lucca. The searches were thus concentrated in the area of ​​Pisa.
In the meantime, however, two other similar thefts were carried out at the end of October, but this time the thieves used two cars, the proceeds of thefts committed in the province of Lucca and in that of Pisa. One of the two was found in a parking area in Pisa e monitored under the assumption that it could be reused in other thefts but was never touched by the criminals again.

Meanwhile through a constant connection with other police offices in neighboring provinces, attention was focused on the 27-year-old already known to the police, unemployed and already reported for theft. Through the comparison between the images acquired on the site of the theft and those extrapolated from the various signaling photos in the Tuscan territory, his identity was reconstructed and the states attributed to the shots. The investigating judge of the court issued the measure which was carried out by the agents.
