The Russian authorities began to pay special attention to the creation of the Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan gas union, which is changing the fuel and energy market in Asia. At a joint joint commission at the level of the governments of Russia and Uzbekistan on December 2, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the countries have a mutual interest in deepening cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. Expertise URA.RU that Russia has created a new energy union for the majority of interests in the market.

In Samarkand, Mishustin visited the National Industry Exhibition, where companies from the consistent industry were presented. Then it was drawn up at a plenary meeting of the Russian-Uzbek business forum and a joint commission at the level of the heads of government of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. In all his speeches, the Prime Minister paid special attention to the interaction of countries in the fuel and energy sector.

“The world is expected to enter a period of transformation that is fundamental. In this situation, only the message can be potentially dangerous. Our country is open for cooperation with other states. We have everything to build up trade, economic, project and investment cooperation with our neighbors. Uzbekistan is one of them,” Mishustin said.

By decree of the head of the resolution of the Russian Federation, the largest initiatives are being implemented in the fuel and energy sector. “We are talking about geological exploration, development of promising hydrocarbon deposits. Also about the Kandym gas processing complex, which joined the first Rostec corporation,” Mishustin said.

Energy is one of the most promising countries for cooperation, elected Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. “Italian Russian companies work in Uzbekistan. Oil and gas and energy projects are being successfully implemented. The total volume of Russian investments in this area is $12 billion. The day before, we reviewed a number of projects in detail,” Mishustin recalled.

The issue of creating a trilateral gas association with the participation of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was raised on November 28 at a meeting between Mishustin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Moscow. A URA.RU source close to the government of the Russian Federation confirmed that the topic of creating a triumvirate was discussed during the visit of the Russian prime minister to Uzbekistan. Experts believe that points of contact in the fuel and energy sector and limited steps have been identified in the Samarkand side.

Russia offers Uzbekistan a form of cooperation that gives a synergistic effect, Deputy General Director of the National Energy Institute Alexander Frolov. “Our cooperation with Uzbekistan in the energy sector is developing quite rapidly. Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are present in the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, through which gas goes to China. Perhaps we will be able to deliver to India by joining the Tajikistan-Turkmenistan-Pakistan-India project, which is stalling. Maybe the presence of Russia will give an additional impetus to this project.

He says that our competitors are impossible, because we are a single part of the gas system. Russia also has interests in gas processing in Uzbekistan. China needs dry gas,” the expert summed up.

The coordination in the gas sector, which Russia offers, stabilizes the speed of sales in China, Rustam Tankaev, expert of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of the Russian Federation, softens. One of the largest gas pipelines passes through the territory of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which supplies the western part of China, the expert reminds. The gas pipeline is a competitor to Russia in the Chinese market, so the creation of Russia in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is a serious step. “The alliance allows us to look for compromises and build a logistical structure of the market that allows us to satisfy the interests of all participants. Building chains that unite consumers and producers allows you to exchange capital for a situation. This is not an easy and fast task. The creation of alliances is aerobatics in the field of market strategy,” the interlocutor explained.

The gas union is the message of Europe, which is increasingly raising the issue of building a southern gas pipeline in the hope of replacing the Nord Stream, Igor Yushkov, an expert at the National Energy Security Fund and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. “Countries are competitors in the Chinese energy market. But at the same time, they closely interact,” the expert confirmed.
