Interreg cross-border cooperation programs: Poland-Ukraine and Brandenburg-Poland have the green light from the European Commission. Thus, all instruments of cooperation under Interreg with the use of Poland for 2021-2027 are already advanced.
The Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine 2021-2027 cross-border cooperation program will be managed by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy. The EU will allocate over EUR 170 million for the implementation of Polish-Ukrainian initiatives. The program will focus on common challenges in the field of environmental protection, culture and the use of infrastructure, social welfare, cooperation with institutions as well as security and border protection.
Russian aggression in Ukraine has left its mark on cross-border cooperation in the eastern regions of the European Union. Cooperation with Russia and Belarus has been replaced. However, the war did not stop work on the Poland-Ukraine programme. Moreover, it accelerated the preparation of the program in the bilateral formula. Within 4 months, we agreed and approved with the Ukrainian verification of the content of the program and its investment behavior. In the current situation, bilateral cooperation with Ukraine under Interreg is of particular importance. Interreg focuses on the development of European regions and solving problems across national borders that require close cooperation

The Interreg Brandenburg-Poland 2021-2027 program is the third Interreg program between Poland and Germany of relief by regulation. effect as in years, the program will be applied on the Brandenburg side. The program will focus on the impact of the effects of climate change and nature protection, support for innovation, development of education, culture and integration, as well as on the integration of residents and cooperation of the administration with Poland and Germany.
On the basis of Polish-German projects, EUR 88.3 million from the European Regional Development Fund was used.
