PRAGUE

The construction of the largest PV plant in the center of Prague has begun in the Prague Congress Center

Sugar Mizzy December 2, 2022

A total of 2,080 solar panels will be built on an area of 7,000 square meters, which will save the Prague Congress Center 5.5 million crowns for electricity.

Photovoltaics is also one of the largest projects of energy disputes in the Czech Republic, which is implemented in KCP by ENESA, a subsidiary of EZ ESCO. The project cost the center 32 million crowns this year.

The actions of the Prague Congress Center are the Ministry of Finance R and the capital city of Prague. “I am glad that KCP, as a publicly owned company, is leading by example. Energy disputes and new renewable sources are exactly what we need in the current situation to reduce energy costs and increase our energy independence and independence from energy from Russia“, said the chairman of the Czech government, Petr Fiala, at the opening of the Congress Center in Prague.

“Recently, we have observed a clear trend in Czech companies and public institutions: a reduction in energy expenditure goes hand in hand with consistent decarbonisation and a loss of overall sustainable functioning. We at EZ are here to help as much as possible. The largest photovoltaic system in the center of Prague plus one of the largest projects of energy disputes in the Czech Republic and to the disputes of the Prague Congress Center on other matters no more than 5 million years,” added EZ general editor Daniel Bene.

The construction of the photovoltaic power plant, which, in addition to EZ ESCO, was also supported by the company GreenBuddies, was initiated during the Czech Presidency of the European Union, during which KCP plays an important role, because it is the place where the informal meetings of the Council of the EU are held.

“O We considered the photovoltaic power plant on KCP Street several years ago. Even though we will have agreed a very good price for electricity by the end of the year, the day on the energy market forced us to speed up this process and we decided to start the installation again during the Czech presidency. Photovoltaics will cover about ten percent of KCP’s energy consumption, in addition, it is directly connected with the complex project of energy disputes, which in our country should cost no more than 30 million crowns in six years and each year.,” explains Ale Bartnk, chairman of the KCP board.

Photovoltaics for 1K

KCP uses an innovative EZ ESCO model called “Photovoltaics for 1 K”. An electric power plant with an installed capacity of 936 kWp will be produced by KCP without any investment costs. The costs of the project are currently borne by the supplier EZ ESCO, which will build the photovoltaic system for the customer and then operate it. KCP will pay for the investment in the price of purchased electricity. After the end of the 13-year contract, the Congress Center Praha FVE will buy out for just one crown and will produce its own energy accordingly.

The construction of a photovoltaic power plant in the center of Prague and beyond is not a football hit, not a simple matter. The designers, for example, had to prove with tests on the model of the panel placed on the road that the sun’s rays falling on their surface will not reach not only the immediate surroundings, but also, for example, the interior several kilometers away from the Petnsk lookout tower. Despite these advantages, the pace of installation is fast – it will take less than half a year to complete the design preparations and place the last panel.

EPC project in the Prague Congress Center

KCP has been striving for the dream of energy diversity of the building since 2016, when a technologically unique energy-challenging project was implemented using the EPC method, which is being implemented for KCP by the company ENESA from the EZ ESCO group. EPC means that the supplier is responsible for the size of the dispute in the contract.

Thanks to the modernization of heating, air conditioning, lighting and cogeneration for 135 million crowns, this year alone it was possible to reduce energy costs by 50 million crowns to the currently high price. The total guaranteed amount for the 10 years of the project’s existence will reach at least 235 million crowns and the consumption will increase by 30 percent.

“The EPC project in the Prague Congress Center should be received in the area of technological interdependence, where the synergy between heating and air-conditioning can be used to the maximum extent possible. Thanks to a mistaken technique, there is a 100% payoff that the cheapest energy is the one that is not consumed. Photovoltaic systems reduce the cost of running the building, and also reduce the building’s carbon footprint,” explains Kamil ermek, general editor of EZ ESCO.

“In this one of the largest wall installations in the Czech Republic, we apply our wealth of experience from similar wall and ground power plant projects in our country and abroad. We will use the SolarEdge system, which minimizes the voltage during operation, and in accordance with modern trends, we will use a construction wall that is not fixed by drilling into the roof, but only by screwing it in.,” concluded Ale Spil, business editor of Greenbuddies, which deals with the installation of photovoltaics.

With the start-up of the power plant, it will be closed for the fifth year.

Prague Congress Center (KCP) is one of the largest congress centers in the Czech Republic, which offers 70 rooms and halls for events from small conferences to large congresses, including equipped at the highest technical level. The advantage is the excellent transport accessibility to the nearby city center, thanks to which it has a beautiful view of historic Prague. It is also home to Business Center Vyehrad and Tyhvzdikov’s Holiday Inn Prague Congress Center hotel with a capacity of 254 rooms. KCP received the Superbrands award several times in a row and the EKO Gold certificate for the use of energy from renewable sources. Things on www.praguecc.cz

EZ ESCO (Energy Service Company) is a subsidiary of EZ, which focuses on services related to modern energy, decarbonization and reducing the climate footprint for industries, municipalities and institutions. These are, for example, energy audits and energy consulting, installation and operation of cogeneration units, heat exchanger systems, renovation of heating systems and installation of photovoltaic power plants. EZ ESCO is thus a supplier of services related to public and firefighting electromobility. It also provides supplies of electricity, gas and heat, purchase of electricity, trading with emission permits, operation of energy equipment and their service. With approx. 2,000 employees. Among the five subsidiaries of EZ ESCO, in addition to the company EZ Energetick sluby, there are companies AirPlus, AZ KLIMA, Bytkomfort, CAPEXUS, ESCO Distribn stavy, EZ Energetick sluby, EZ ENERGO, EZ LDS, Domat Control System, E-Dome, EP Ronov, ENESA, ESCO SLOVAKIA , Green Energy Capital, HORMEN, KART, KLF-Distribcia and Spravbytkomfort.
